The Next Chapter

More Than 40 Years

After more than 40 years of collecting classic automobiles, Guy Mace has made the difficult decision to close 66 Car Museum and begin the next chapter.

The museum’s final day of business will be April 17, 2027.

This decision was not made lightly. The collection represents decades of passion, history, restoration, preservation, and pursuit. But after five decades of acquiring and caring for these remarkable vehicles, Guy has decided the time has come to focus on other interests and priorities.

While the museum is closing, the cars are not disappearing. They are moving on to new owners, new garages, and new stories.

The full automobile collection, along with the museum’s automobilia and memorabilia, is expected to be offered for sale in May 2027 through Mecum Auctions’ Indianapolis event.

Anyone interested in following the sale should watch www.mecum.com as May 2027 approaches and additional details become available.

Until then, we invite visitors to come experience the collection one last time before the museum closes its doors.

I’ll see you on the road!… Guy Mace
